what awaits you:

Rimini and the surrounding area

  • The Bridge of Tiberius, just 15 minutes’ drive from the Club Family Hotel Rimini Village, is without doubt the starting point for exploring Rimini and its historic centre. This bridge from Roman times, dating back to 21 AD having withstood even the World War Two bombings and only in recent years becoming pedestrian-only, is a physical testament to the engineering and architectural ingenuity of the Roman Empire as well as the favourite setting among locals and tourists for watching the many musical events and shows held in the new Piazza sull’Acqua, created in the space below.
  • From the bridge, you can choose whether to explore the lanes of the Borgo San Giuliano district and admire the murals and ancient fishermen’s houses, now fully restored, or head into the historic centre for a truly unique experience at the Fellini Museum. This museum complex, with its unusual layout, invites you on a genuine journey through time. Castel Sismondo, the fortress symbolising the power of the House of Malatesta, houses images celebrating the long and successful career of the great Rimini-born film director, Federico Fellini. Palazzo Valloni, home of the Cinema Fulgor, a symbol of Fellini’s Rimini restored to its former splendour, now houses monographic and retrospective exhibitions on various movements and periods of the ‘seventh art’. The dreamy Piazza dei Sogni, a space entirely set up to evoke Fellini’s best-loved settings, provides the venue for the touring museum dedicated to the creator of the cinematic masterpiece, Amarcord.
  • A museum complex surrounded by pure art and culture. Indeed, the Fellini Museum nestles between the Amintore Galli Theatre, fruit of a long and challenging restoration transforming it into Rimini’s showpiece municipal theatre, and the Palazzi dell’Arte buildings, formerly dell’Arengo and del Podestà. These buildings house a beautiful 14th-century fresco, the Last Judgement by Giovanni da Rimini, and are a contemporary art venue commissioned by the San Patrignano Foundation.
  • Piazza Cavour is the heart of Rimini, featuring the Fontana della Pigna which has survived through every era and domination of the city. The Museo Luigi Tonini is the city museum in which each floor captures one era, from the underground Prehistoric Rimini exhibition to the contemporary illustrator René Gruau, via the Roman Lapidary and the masterpieces of the 14th-century School of Rimini. The Domus del Chirurgo (Surgeon’s House) is an archaeological site forming part of the city museum which was excavated at the end of the last millennium bringing to light a complete set of surgical and pharmaceutical instruments, the only one of its kind. These are just some of the many artistic and cultural attractions that make a trip to Rimini worthwhile.

Romagna, a land of flavours, scents and tra-ditions

  • Romagna is a land of places encapsulating and preserving those customs and traditions that make them famous and esteemed for their local products as well as for their uniqueness: Santarcangelo and its underground world of tuff caves open to visitors, Verucchio, the medieval village and cradle of Villanovan civilisation, San Marino with its unmistakeable silhouette and imposing fortified towers, Poggio Torriana and its nature observatory, Montebello Castle and the legend of Azzurrina, Montetiffi and its traditional earthenware baking pans, Sogliano and its cheese ripening pits and its ancient perfumes, and San Leo and its medieval Fortress with unforgettable views. The places to visit in inland Rimini, where art, culture and tradition blend to reveal all their beauty, are truly endless.
